Roberto started his career in insurance in 1973. His focus at the time was assisting families with various life insurance strategies. In 1981, Roberto was approached by a long time friend with an opportunity to represent American Heritage Life, currently known as Allstate Benefits, and service the employees of Winn-Dixie. He founded Employee Benefits of Florida, Inc., with his wife Maruchy and dedicated the rest of his career assisting employers educate their employees on the various employee benefits offered. Roberto retired in 2010 and enjoying spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Maruchy founded Employee Benefits of Florida, Inc. in 1981 with Roberto. She was in charge of all operations, primarily HR billing reconciliation, claims administration and senior enrollment specialist. Maruchy really enjoyed working with employees and making sure all of their clains were paid correctly and in a timely manner. She retired in 2012, in order to enjoy her retirement with Roberto and her family.
Daniel Carriazo, MAcc
Daniel J. Carriazo, President and CEO of Secured Planning Partners, Inc. possesses more than 23 years of insurance, financial and real estate experience. Daniel began his career in 1997 as an insurance specialist at Employee Benefits of Florida, Inc. and American Heritage Life, an Allstate Company. In 2001, he moved to Wachovia Securities and then joined Citigroup Smith Barney in December 2002 as a Second Vice President and Financial Advisor. Daniel started Secured Planning Partners, Inc. (SPP Benefits) in 2011, after Roberto’s retirement. Prior to his current position at SPP Benefits, Daniel furthered his experience in the financial industry at JP Morgan Chase where he served as the Vice President of Investments.
Daniel has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy.
